CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 6/4 Providence College men's hockey team was blanked by No. 2/2 Boston College, 3-0, on Friday night (Jan. 17) at Conte Forum.

- The teams skated through the first period scoreless with Boston College holding a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal.

- The Friars killed off the lone power-play attempt of the period as Svedebäck turned away both shots he faced during the Eagles' power play.

- Ryan Leonard gave Boston College a 1-0 lead on the power-play at the 7:43 mark of the second period.

- Svedebäck denied Leonard on a breakaway attempt late in the period to keep the Friars within a goal after 40 minutes.

- James Hagens extended the Eagles' lead at 11:45 of the third period.
