GAME FLOW & NOTES
 
-The teams skated through the first period scoreless with both teams creating chances. Shots on goal were 10-8 in favor of the Friars after 20 minutes. 
 
-Providence broke the deadlock 1:51 into the second period on Lily Hendrikson's (Edina, Minn.) shot from the blue line. The goal was Hendrikson's first of the season. Josie Lang (Stillwater, Minn.) and Mégane Quirion (Saint-Eustache, Quebec) earned the assists. Quirion has registered a point in each of her last three games (one goal, two assists).
 
-With back-and-forth action in the third period, Providence shut down the Crusaders to secure the 1-0 victory.
 
-The Friars successfully killed two penalties tonight, boosting their penalty kill to third in the country at 88.7%.
 
-Walinski made 21 saves for the Friars. The shutout was the third of the season for Walinski and ninth of her career.
 
-Providence extends their all-time record to 20-0-1 over Holy Cross with the sweep this weekend.
 
-The Friars currently ride their first four-game winning streak of the season. The last four-game winning streak for Providence came in the four Hockey East games following winter break in 2023-24. 
 
-Providence is now 7-1-1 on the season when leading after two periods.
 
-With Lang's assist in the second period on Hendrikson's goal, the Friars are now 5-1-0 when Lang records an assist.
