Friars Look Ahead To The 15th Annual Swim Across America And Alumni Weekend For Swimming & Diving Programs

A full slate of events is scheduled for September 7.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Longtime Head Coach John O'Neill has announced today the Providence College Swimming and Diving programs, about to embark on their 40th Anniversary season, will be holding a reception and dinner for team members, alumni and friends on September 7th, during their annual Alumni Weekend.
 
The Friars will begin the day by participating in the 15th annual Swim Across America event in Narragansett, R.I.  Alumni can still register and join the team effort, donate or are attend the event to cheer on the Friars and hundreds of participating swimmers making waves to fight cancer.  
 
Later in the day, Taylor Natatorium will be available for a family swim and alumni are encouraged to visit the facilities and tour campus. A reception will be held from 6-7 PM, followed by dinner and short speaking program in '64 Hall.  
 
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS - SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7
 
Swim Across America - 10 AM
 
Family Swim - 2- 4 PM
 
Reception - 6-7 PM
 
Dinner - 7- 9 PM
