Three School Records Fall On Day Three Of BIG EAST Swimming & Diving Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – Providence College swimming & diving competed at the BIG EAST Championships on Friday, March 1 for the third day of competition at IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind. Three school records fell on the day, including two on the women's side.
 
Annie Gathof, set a school record in the 100-yard butterfly during prelims (55.55), and finished 11th in the finals with a time of 55.73. 
 
Will Layden claimed a fourth-place finish in the championship final of the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 48.35. 
 
Lauren Wagner posted a school record in the 100-yard breaststroke during prelims, touching the wall in a time of 1:04.50. She placed 14th in the finals with a time of 1:05.04.
 
Kevin Hood and Parker Keller competed in the championship final of the 100-yard breaststroke. Hood placed fourth in a time of 54.71, while Keller touched the wall in eighth (56.43).
 
The men's 400-yard medley relay team, comprised of Ryan Sharp, Kevin Hood, Will Layden and Alex Beauchene placed fourth and set a school record with a time of 3:18.80.
 
The women's 400-yard medley relay team claimed a sixth-place finish (3:51.99) and was made up of Bella Lombard, Lauren Wagner, Annie Gathof and Courtney Reilly.
