Women's Tennis Downed By Villanova, 7-0

WARWICK, R.I. - The Providence College women's tennis team was downed by BIG EAST foe Villanova, 7-0, at TRI West Bay on Saturday, February 3.

The Wildcats swept the doubles matches and claimed all six singles contests in the win. The Friars' Mae Abreu claimed Providence's lone set win of the match, earning a 6-1 second set win to force a tiebreaker against Villanova's Valieriia Korneiva.

The Friars are back in action next weekend for a pair of road matches at Wagner (Feb. 9) and Hofstra (Feb. 10).
