Women’s Cross Country Ranked 11th in National Poll; Men Ranked Sixth In The Northeast Region

It marks the sixth consecutive poll in which the women’s team was ranked in the Top 12.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. The USTFCCCA released its latest Regional and National Coaches' Poll on November 5. The Providence College women's cross country team is ranked No.1 in the Northeast Region and No. 11 in the nation. The Friar men's cross country team is ranked sixth in the Northeast Region.
 
The Providence College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the BIG EAST Championship on Friday, November 1 in Leesburg, Va. The women's team had an impressive second-place finish of 11 teams (43 points) and was led by graduate student Alex Millard (Kent, England), who was the runner up in a time of 19:50.7. The Friar men placed fourth of nine teams (95 points) and were led by senior Michael Morgan (Sligo, Ireland).  Morgan finished seventh in a time of 24:02.66.

The Friars will return to the line on Friday, November 15 at the NCAA Northeast Regionals in Hopkinton, N.H. at 11:00 a.m.
