Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) of the Providence College women's hockey team was named Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday, Nov. 25 for the first time this season.
Kirchmair led the Friars over the weekend with two goals, including an overtime game-winner and a shootout clincher against Harvard University. She secured the shootout win on Nov. 22 and followed it up with two goals, including the overtime winner on Nov. 23. Her two-goal performance on Saturday marked the fourth of her collegiate career and her first since Jan. 20, 2024 against Holy Cross.
Kirchmair leads the Friars in total points this season with 16, tallying eight goals and eight assists. The 16 points also are good for the overall scoring lead among all Hockey East players.
