KINGSTON, R.I. – The Providence College swimming & diving programs competed at the Harold Anderson Invitational for a third-straight day on Saturday, Nov. 23 in Kingston, R.I.
There were quite a few notable performances in the finals on day three of competition, highlighted by a dominant showing in the men's 200-yard free.
Alex Beauchene placed first in a time of 1:40.44.
Gabe Hawkins (1:42.15) and
Aidan Puk (1:42.37) finished third and fourth, respectively.
Nathan Thayer (50.34) and
Ryan Sharp (50.41) finished second and third, respectively, in the men's 100-yard butterfly.
Annie Gathof finished fifth in the women's 100-yard fly (57.32).
Quinn Schwab claimed a third-place finish in the men's 400-yard IM with a time of 4:05.80.
Bella Lombard posted a third-place finish in the women's 100-yard backstroke (57.19), while
Ryan Sharp (50.71) and
Jack Nowak (51.06) finished in the top three in the men's 100-yard back.
Additionally, as a team, the men's program maintained its first-place standing with 593 points. The women's team sits in sixth place after day three.
