PROVIDENCE, R.I.–The USTFCCA recognized the 2024 All-Region Honorees on Monday, Nov. 18. Six Friars earned All-Region Honors after placing in the top-25 at the NCAA Northeast Regionals at Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H., on Nov. 15.
On the men's side senior
Michael Morgan (Sligo, Ireland) and graduate student Patrick Thygesen (Brisbane, Australia) earned All-Region honors -- Morgan finished 16th (30:18.71) and Thygesen placed 21
st (30:27.60).
For the women, senior
Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand), graduate student
Alex Millard (Kent, England), graduate student
Shannon Flockhart (Longstanton, England) and senior
Laura Mooney (Cappincur, Ireland) all placed in the top 10 and earned All-Region honors. May was third (19:34.32), Millard was fourth (19:34.37), Flockhart was fifth (19:36.23) and Mooney was 10
th (20:03.07).
The 11
th-ranked Providence College women's cross country team will compete in the NCAA Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 23. The race will be held at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Madison, Wis. The women's 6k race will begin at 10:20 a.m.
