Women’s Cross Country Ranked 10th In National Poll; Men ranked Fifth in the Region

It marks the fourth consecutive poll in which the women’s team has been ranked in the Top 10.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. The USTFCCCA released its latest Regional and National Coaches' Poll on Oct 8. The Providence College women's cross country team is ranked No. 1 in the Northeast Region and No. 10 in the nation. The Friar men's cross country team is ranked fifth in the Northeast Region.
 
The Friar men's and women's teams did not compete last week.
 
The Providence College men's cross country team will return to action at the New England Championship on Friday, Oct. 11 in Hopkinton, N.H. The Friar women's cross country team will also compete, however, the top seven runners will not be running. The women's 5k race will begin at 3:30 p.m., followed by the men's 8k race which will begin at 4:15 p.m.
