- The Friars doubled their lead at 13:02 in the opening period, as Adams flipped the puck to open ice, where he connected on a snap shot for his second goal of both the game and season. Nick Poisson and Taige Harding were each credited with assists on the scoring effort.

- Midway through the second period, Austen May found Logan Will, who extended the Friars' lead to 3-0, beating Homer on his glove-side shoulder for his first goal as a Friar.

- Arizona State broke onto the scoreboard early in the third period, as Ryan Kirwan put away a Bennett Schimek rebound for his second of the season.

- With just over a minute to play, forward Adams buried the puck in the empty net, awarding the sophomore his first collegiate hat trick. Chase Yoder and Nick Poisson earned the assists.

- Philip Svedebäck finished the night stopping 27-of-28 shots, good for a .964 save percentage.

- The Friars were outshot by the Sun Devils 28-27, with a five-shot performance from Adams leading the way for Providence.

- Eight different Friars tallied a point in Friday night's win, headlined by a three-goal performance from Adams and a pair of assists from Nick Poisson.
