Women’s Cross Country Team Ranked 14th In The Nation

The Friars begin their season on September 1 at Brown University’s Rothenberg Invitational.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The USTFCCCA announced today (Aug. 30) the preseason national rankings for Division I Cross Country. The Providence College women's cross country team is ranked 14th nationally. The women's team is just one of two BIG EAST teams ranked nationally. The men's cross country team is receiving votes. 
 
The announcement of national rankings follows yesterday's release of the organization's regional rankings. The Friar women are ranked first in the Northeast Region and the Friar men are ranked third.
The Friars open the 2023 season on Friday, Sept. 1 at the Rothenberg Invitational. The meet will take place at the Mark Coogan Cross Country Course at Highland Park in Attleboro, Mass.
