PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's tennis team split a pair of weekend matches against Georgetown and New Haven. On Saturday, the Friars were defeated by Georgetown, 5-2, before rebounding with a win over the University of New Haven on Sunday, 5-2.
On Saturday,
Katie Mulvey and
Julia Migliorini captured victories out of the top-2 singles positions, with Migliorini earning a straight-set victory over her opponent, Chloe Bendetti. On Sunday against the Chargers, Providence fell behind 1-0 after doubles play but responded by winning five of the six singles matches to earn the 5-2 victory. Mulvey,
