BURLINGTON, Vt. – Senior co-captain Max Crozier registered a goal and two assists as the Providence College men's hockey team snapped a five-game losing streak with a 3-1 win on the road at Vermont on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 5).

NOTES
- The Friars came out flying in the opening minutes, appearing to take a 1-0 lead when Brett Berard finished off a rebound chance but for the second-consecutive game, their opening goal was disallowed due to an offsides challenge.
- Providence did get on the board at the 7:58 mark as Jamie Engelbert got a piece off a Max Crozier shot that banked off the skate of Riley Duran. The goal was Engelbert's fourth of the season.
- Bennett Schimek extended the lead to 2-0 at 17:55 as his wrist shot from the point found its way through traffic and under the arm of Autio for his eighth goal of the season.
- A 5-on-3 opportunity led to a Vermont marker from Simon Jellus at 11:00 of the second period.
- The Friars kept the Catamounts at bay in the third period, keyed by a crucial penalty kill in the early stages of the period.
- Providence earned a late power play and extended its lead to 3-1 on Crozier's third goal of the season and third point on the afternoon. Taige Harding and Duran earned the assists on the play.
- Autio was pulled for the extra attacker with just over two minutes to play and the Friar defense and Svedebäck stood tall to close out the 3-1 victory.
- Two of Crozier's three goals this season have come against Vermont. He now ranks second on the team in scoring with 22 points on three goals and 19 assists.
- Duran posted his sixth multi-point game of the season with two assists.
- Providence sweeps the three-game regular-season series, outscoring the Catamounts by a 11-4 margin.
