PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's hockey team lost to Boston College, 5-1, on Friday, Dec. 1 at Schneider Arena in Providence, R.IHope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) finished the day with 20 saves.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
 
-The Eagles struck at the 14:36 mark of the first period when Sammy Taber and Caroline Goffredo assisted Sammy Smigliani to a goal.

 
-At 8:09 in the second period, Caroline Goffredo scored with help from Sidney Fess and Sammy Taber to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead. 
 
-Boston College extended its lead to three goals with a tally from Gaby Roy at the 15:22 mark. Keri Clougherty and Jade Arnone were each credited with an assist. 
 
-Three minutes into the final period, Boston College's Smigliani scored to put BC up 4-0. Goffredo assisted the play. 
 
-Goffredo scored the Eagles' fifth goal of the night at 9:29in the third with help from Sammy Smigliani and Cailin Flynn. 
 
-Grace Shirley (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) scored the Friars' lone goal at 10:58 to make the final score 5-1. Cristina Cavaliere (Mississauga, Ontario) and Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) assisted the goal.  
 
-Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) finished the day with 20 saves.
