Lyric Berry Named To The BIG EAST All-Freshman Team

Lyric Berry led the Friars in blocks and was fourth on the team in kills.
NEW YORK, N.Y. - The BIG EAST Conference announced its annual women's volleyball awards today (Nov. 21). Providence College freshman Lyric Berry (Wylie, Texas) was named to the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team. Berry is the fourth Friar freshman since 1998 to earn BIG EAST All-Freshman honors.
Berry who was named to the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team played a significant role for the Friars this season. She played in all 30 matches and started in 29 of them. Berry led the Friars in solo blocks (28), was second on the team in total blocks (97) and ranked fourth in kills (159). Lyric was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll once during the regular season.
