GAME FLOW AND NOTES
- Reese Slater scored in the 42nd minute to give Xavier the 1-0 lead.
- Providence and Xavier each had seven shots at halftime.

Meg Hughes (Rochester, Mass) was the lone Friar with a scoring chance in the first half.
- Shelby Sallee scored in the 68
th minute of the game to give Xavier the 2-0 lead. Her goal was assisted by Ella Rogers

- Providence will await word on an at-large selection to the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA selection show is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 6. The Friars entered the BIG EAST Semifinals ranked No. 36 in the NCAA RPI.
