- The teams skated through a scoreless opening period. Shots were 7-3 in favor of Providence after 20 minutes.
- The Warriors broke the ice 9:21 into the second period as Mary Edmonds finished off a rebound from Maria Lundberg. Hayley Chang also assisted on the play.
- Providence outshot the Warriors by a 16-5 margin in the second period but Merrimack netminder Calli Hogarth turned the Friars away.
- The Friars couldn't cash in on two power-play opportunities in the third period as Hogarth stopped all 37 shots she faced on the night.
