Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Runners Earn All-Region Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. –The USTFCCA recognized the 2023 All-Region Honorees on Monday, Nov. 13. Five Friars earned All-Region Honors after to placing in the top-25 at the Northeast Regionals at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y. on Friday, Nov. 11. 
 
On the men's side Michael Morgan (Sligo, Ireland), Abdel Laadjel (Lucan, Ireland) and Liam Back (New Plymouth, New Zealand) earned All-Region honors. Morgan finished in sixth-place (29:51.2), Laadjel placed ninth (29:55) and Back finished in 22nd (30:09). Morgan and Laadjel's performances earned themindividual spots for the NCAA Championship. 
 
For the women, Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand) and Shannon Flockhart (Longstanton, England) earned All-Region honors after finishing in second-place (19:37) and 13th place (20:09). 
 
The women's team earned an at-large selection to the 2023 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship. The race will take place on Saturday, Nov. 18 at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Va. The women's race will begin at 10:20 a.m. ET followed by the men's race at 11:10 a.m. ET.
