Men’s And Women’s Cross Country Teams Updated Rankings

The women’s team is ranked 14th in the nation.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.– The USTFCCCA released its Regional and Nationals Coaches' Poll on Oct. 3. The Providence College women's cross country team is ranked No. 1 in the Northeast Region and 14th in the nation. The Friar men's cross country team remains ranked seventh in the Northeast Region. 
 
The Providence College men's and women's cross-country teams were idle last week. In the Friars' most recent meet at the University of Virginia Invitational on Sept. 28, the Friar women finished eighth out of 23 teams after scoring 246 points. Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand) led the Friar women, placing 10th in a time of 16:34.8. The men finished 21st out of 23 teams and were led by Liam Back (New Plymouth, New Zealand), who finished 58th in a time of 24:03.3.
