PROVIDENCE, R.I.– The USTFCCCA released its Regional and Nationals Coaches' Poll on Oct. 3. The Providence College women's cross country team is ranked No. 1 in the Northeast Region and 14
th in the nation. The Friar men's cross country team remains ranked seventh in the Northeast Region.
The Providence College men's and women's cross-country teams were idle last week. In the Friars' most recent meet at the University of Virginia Invitational on Sept. 28, the Friar women finished eighth out of 23 teams after scoring 246 points.
Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand) led the Friar women, placing 10
th in a time of 16:34.8. The men finished 21
st out of 23 teams and were led by
Liam Back (New Plymouth, New Zealand), who finished 58
th in a time of 24:03.3.
