HAMDEN, Conn.– The Providence College women's hockey team was defeated by No.8 Quinnipiac, 4-1, on Friday, Oct. 13 at M&T Bank Arena in Hamden, Conn. Mireille Kingsley (Sudbury, Ontario) finished the night with 30 saves.

-The Friars struck 10:35 into the first period when Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) netted her first career goal. Lindsay Bochna (Toronto, Ontario) and Hannah Johnson (Readfield, Maine) were each credited with an assist. 
 
-Providence held a 1-0 lead into the third period after a scoreless second period. 
 
-Quinnipiac's Julia Nearis tied the game 5:01 into the third period. Zoe Uens and Maya Labad assisted the play. 
 
-Nina Steigauf scored for the Bobcats at 11:04 with help from Jess Schryver and Maddy Samoskevich to give Quinnipiac a 2-1 lead.
 
-At the 11:47 mark, Quinnipiac's Jess Schryver scored with Julia Nearis assisting to make the score 3-1. 
 
-Quinnipiac's Sadie Peart scored on an empty net at 17:15 to make the final score 4-1. Jess Schryver assisted the goal.  

-Mireille Kingsley (Sudbury, Ontario) finished the day with 30 saves.
