PROVIDENCE, R.I. –
Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) of the Providence College women's hockey team was named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week, as announced on Monday, Sept. 26.
Kirchmair tallied two points in Providence's opening game against St. Lawrence on Friday, Sept. 23 at Schneider Arena. She was credited with the primary assist on the Friars' first goal of the night scored by
Caroline Peterson (East Falmouth, Mass.) With 1.33 minutes left in overtime, Kirchmair scored the game-winner with her first career goal for the Friars.
The Friars take the ice next on Friday, Oct. 7 at home against Union College.
