PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's soccer team fell to Monmouth University, 2-0, on Sunday, Sept. 11 on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
-The Hawks scored early in the first half off a header by Maddison Perna to give them a 1-0 advantage.
-In the 21st minute, the Hawks gained a 2-0 lead. Rachel Ludwick hit the top right of net off a pass from A'Liah Moore.
-Each team had one corner in the first half.
-Providence fought hard offensively in the second half, but could not convert.
-The Friars defense held the Hawks to zero shots in the second half.
-The Friars outshot the Hawks, 10-2.
-Meg Hughes (Rochester, Mass.) and Maria Paveglio (Lake Orion, Mich.) each had a game-high two shots.
