NEWPORT, R.I. - The Providence College women's tennis team was downed by the University of Rhode Island, 6-1, on Sunday (Feb. 20) at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I.
Freshman
Olivia Wright scored the lone victory for the Friars, earning a hard-fought 6-0, 6-7, 10-8 victory out of the No. 1 singles slot against Valentina Cvackova.
The Friars are back in action on Friday, Feb. 25 for a home match against Seton Hall beginning at 1 p.m.
