Nora Goddard-Despot Named To All-BIG EAST Second Team

Senior midfielder earned postseason conference honors for the first time in her career.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The BIG EAST Conference announced its All-BIG EAST selections and major award winners for field hockey today [Nov. 3]. Providence College senior midfielder Nora Goddard-Despot (North Vancouver, British Columbia) was featured on the All-BIG EAST Second Team. It marked the first time in her career that she has been recognized among the league's postseason honorees.
During the 2022 campaign, Goddard-Despot started all 17 games and recorded nine points on three goals and three assists. Six of her nine points came during BIG EAST Conference action, with two goals and two assists. Through four seasons of collegiate field hockey, she has played 59 games and appeared in the starting line-up 44 times. Goddard-Despot has registered 27 career points on nine goals and nine assists, including three game-winning goals.
As a junior in 2021, Goddard-Despot was among the list of players on the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. Additionally, she is an active member of Canada's Junior Women's National Team and has competed most recently in the Junior World Cup and the Pan American Cup.
