PROVIDENCE, R.I. –
Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) of the Providence College women's ice hockey team was named Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month for the combined months of September and October 2022, as announced on Wednesday, Nov. 2. Kirchmair has been previously recognized twice this season as Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week (Sept. 26 and Oct. 24).
Kirchmair is the leading scorer for the Friars and across conference freshmen. Kirchmair has totaled seven goals and two assists in 10 games for the Friars. In her first collegiate game, Kirchmair scored the game-winner with her first career goal. Kirchmair, alongside
Noemi Neubauerova (Prague, Czech Republic), is second in overall points with nine behind
Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) with 11 points.
