PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 13 women's hockey team defeated the University of Maine, 5-1, on Saturday, Nov. 19 at Schneider Arena. Sara Hjalmarsson had a four-goal game.

Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) put the Friars on the board with a power play goal 4:38 into the first period. Lauren DeBlois (Lewiston, Maine) and Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) were each credited with an assist. 
 
- At the 12:46 mark of the first period, Ashley Clark (North Weymouth, Mass.) and DeBlois assisted Hjalmarsson to a second goal.  
 
- The Friars led, 2-0, heading into the first intermission. 
 
-Hjalmarsson scored a natural hat trick after getting the Friars' third goal 6:55 into the second period. Assisting on the goal was Lily Hendrikson (Edina, Minn.) and Caroline Peterson (East Falmouth, Mass.).
 
- It marked Hjalmarsson's third-career hat trick.
 
- Ida Press (Uppsala, Sweden) netted the Friars' fourth goal of the day during a power play at the 10:45 mark of the second period. Claire Tyo (Massena, N.Y.) and Rachel Weiss (Calgary, Alberta) were each credited with an assist.
 
-The Friars led, 4-0, heading into the second intermission.
 
-Hjalmarsson scored her fourth goal, and the Friars' fifth, of the day at the 10:00 mark of the third period. Maddy Coene (Clayton, N.Y.) and Clark assisted Hjalmarsson to the goal.
 
- Hjalmarsson is the first Friar since Laurie Baker in 1996 to score four goals in a game.
 
- Lilli Welcke put the Black Bears on the board with 2:06 remaining in regulation, 5-1.

-Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) finished the day with 21 saves.
