PROVIDENCE, R.I. –
Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) of the Providence College women's hockey team was named Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, as announced on Monday, Oct. 24.
Kirchmair has tallied seven goals and two assists across eight games this season for the Friars. Kirchmair is currently the leading scorer (7) for the Friars and second in points overall (9). This past weekend she totaled two goals. On Saturday (Oct. 22), Kirchmair scored with 18 seconds left in the second period to tie the Friars up with the University of New Hampshire, 1-1. Providence went on to win, 2-1.
The Friars take the ice next on Friday (Oct. 28), as they host No. 6 Northeastern at home for a 6:00 p.m. game.
