HAMDEN, Conn. – A pair of early third period power-play goals proved to be a difference as No. 7 Quinnipiac defeated the No. 15 Providence College men's hockey team by a 4-2 score in an exhibition game on Sunday at the M&T Bank Center.

NOTES
- Anthony Cipillone got the hosts on the board at the 9:40 mark of the opening period.
- CJ McGee extended the Bobcats' lead to 2-0 at 4:43 of period two.
- Riley Duran got the Friars on the board with his second tally of the weekend, beating Perets with a long-range wrister at 13:46.
- With the Friars facing penalty trouble to begin the third period, a pair of power-play strikes by Ethan De Jong gave Quinnipiac a 4-1 lead.
- Jaroslav Chmelar added a goal with 14.6 seconds to play in regulation, finishing off a five-hole shot while falling to the ice.
