Gil Santos Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

This is the second time Santos has earned an Honor Roll nod this season.
NEW YORK, N.Y. – Providence College men's soccer graduate student Gil Santos (Parede, Portugal) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Oct. 17.
The graduate student scored the first goal of a 2-1 win against BIG EAST opponent Butler on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium. Santos got the ball to the back of the net in the eighth minute with a sliding attack to tap in a cross from Gevork Diarbian (Cranston, R.I.). After this goal, Santos is tied for team-high three goals and has six points on the season.
The Friars return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 19 against St. John's on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
