Men’s Basketball Ranked No. 23 in Associated Press Poll and No. 20 In The Coaches Poll

Friars are ranked for the fourth consecutive week.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -  The Providence College men's basketball team is ranked No. 23 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 20 in the most recent Coaches Poll.  Both polls were released today (January 10).  The Friars, who entered the polls on December 20 at No. 22/23, have been ranked for four weeks.   

The Friars (14-2, 4-1) are off to their best start to a season since 2015-16 when they began the season with a 14-2 mark.  Providence has posted Quad 1 wins at Wisconsin, at home versus Texas Tech, at UConn and at home versus Seton Hall.  The Friars have  a NCAA NET ranking of 35.

Last week, the Friars posted a 1-1 mark, which included an  83-73 win over St. John's on January 8.

The Friars will return to action on Tuesday, January 11 at Creighton at 9:00 p.m. on FS1.  The team will return home to face UConn on Saturday, January 15 at 2:00 p.m. on FS1.
