PROVIDENCE, R.I. - On Tuesday, Sept. 28, United Soccer Coaches released its weekly Top-25 National Rankings for men's soccer. After Saturday afternoon's BIG EAST home-opening win against Xavier University, the Friars earned a spot at No. 22.
The Friars have won four straight matches and have started conference play 2-0-0 with wins over No. 19 Seton Hall (Sept. 18) and Xavier University. The Friars have played three matches this season against ranked opponents and posted a 2-1-0 record. To open the season, the Friars hosted No. 23 Fordham University where they won 3-0 on August 26. On September 3, the Friars traveled to No. 14 (currently No. 3) New Hampshire where they lost 2-1.
Up next, the Friars travel to Milwaukee, Wisc. to face Maquette in their third BIG EAST game of the season on Saturday, October 2 at 8:00PM.
