Diarbian, Garcia, Lima and Qawasmy were the honorees.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Four Providence College men's soccer players earned All-BIG EAST honors. The conference announced its post-season awards on April 14. Junior Paulo Lima (Lisbon, Portugal) earned First Team recognition, while junior Ramzi Qawasmy (Landsdale, Pa.) picked up Second Team honors. Sophomore Luis Garcia (Gran Canaria, Spain) and freshman Gevork Diarbian (Cranston, R.I.) were named to the Third Team.

Lima started all eight games he appeared in for the Friars this season. He recorded two points with one goal. The midfielder scored the game winning goal at UConn on Feb. 27 off a penalty kick. This is the junior's fourth-career league honor, as he was selected to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team (2020-21), BIG EAST All-Tournament Team (2019) and All-BIG EAST Second Team (2019).

Qawasmy started all nine games for the Friars this season. The junior logged 846 minutes, playing each game entirely. The defender helped the Friar backline compile five shutouts on the season, which is tied for second in the league. He finished the season with a shot on goal percentage of 0.667, with two of his three shots on frame. This is Qawasmy's second year of league recognition, as he was a selection to the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team (2018).

Garcia started all nine games for the Friars as a newcomer. The midfielder recorded two points this season on a goal. He led the team in shots with 15 and finished with a 0.533 shot on goal percentage. This marked his first-time receiving league recognition.

Diarbian made the starting lineup in all nine games for the Friars as a rookie. He led the team in points (7) and goals (3). The freshman scored a goal in three consecutive matches starting the 2021 spring season against Rhode Island (Feb. 20), UConn (Feb. 27) and Villanova (March 3). He also scored the golden goal against Villanova on March 3 in double overtime. The midfielder finished with a 0.571 shot on goal percentage. During the season, he was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week (March 8) and named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll (March 1).
