Volleyball Withdraws From BIG EAST Championship

Friars were set to make their first appearance at the tournament since 1999.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College volleyball program announced today [March 30] that it will withdraw from the BIG EAST Tournament due to COVID-related issues within the program. The Friars were set to make their first appearance at the BIG EAST Tournament since 1999, after clinching the No. 2 seed in the East Region last weekend.
The 2021 BIG EAST Championship presented by JEEP is scheduled to take place on April 2-3 at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb.
