Amanda Collins Earns All-BIG EAST Second Team Honors

The senior defender earned post-season accolades for the first time during her career with the Friars.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College senior field hockey defender Amanda Collins (San Diego, Calif.) was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team. The league released its All-BIG EAST selections and major award winners today [Nov. 3]. It marked the first time in Collins' collegiate career that she earned postseason honors.
Collins has started all 66 games during her career, playing every minute for the Friars as a defender. She also played a critical role in the Friars' offensive and defensive corner units. During the 2021 season, she tallied a career high nine points on four goals and one assist. Two of her four goals came during BIG EAST Conference play vs. Villanova and Old Dominion. In her four years with the program, she posted 26 points, 10 goals and six assists.
