Providence Men’s Basketball Announces Time And Television Broadcasts Of 2020 Non-Conference and December BIG EAST Schedule

Friars will open the season on November 25 at home versus Fairfield.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's basketball team's non-conference and December BIG EAST schedule game times and television broadcasts were announced today (November 11). The Friars will play six non-conference games, followed by four league games in mid-to-late December to get the 2020-21 slate going. Providence will open the season against Fairfield on Wednesday, Nov. 25 in Alumni Hall. The game will tip at 2 p.m. and air on FS1. The Friars will play their first conference game of the season against Xavier on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. on FS2.
In addition to their home opener versus Fairfield, the Friars' other home games will be versus Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, Dec. 5 on FS2; versus Xavier on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. on FS2; and versus Connecticut on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. on FS1.
The Friars will play three games in the Maui Invitational in Asheville, N.C. at the Cherokee Center, which is scheduled for Nov. 30 through Dec. 2. Providence's first opponent will be Indiana on Monday, Nov. 30 at 2:30 p.m., followed by a match up with either Texas or Davidson on Dec. 1. The Friars will close the Maui Invitational on Dec. 2, and their opponent will be determined during the course of tournament play. All games will be aired on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU.
The squad will play three additional road games in the month of December. The Friars will play at TCU on Wednesday, Dec. 9 as part of the BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle. The other two road games will be at BIG EAST foes Seton Hall on Sunday, Dec. 20 at 4:30 p.m. on FS1 and Butler on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
The remainder of the conference schedule will be announced at a later date. Each of the Friars' home games during the months of November and December will be played at Alumni Hall/Mullaney Gymnasium on the campus of Providence College in Providence, R.I.
