Providence, R.I. – Providence College men's and women's swimming and diving hosted the University of Maine. The men earned their second consecutive victory and the women finished in a tie.
 
As senior day for the Friars, the two senior men (PK Brannigan, Chris Centrella) and five senior women (Erin Boyle, Amanda Gaccione, Kerry McCann, CJ McCartin, Avery Pisani) were recognized before the meet. 


On the men's side, four new program records were set during the meet. Freshman Kevin Hood improved the program standard in the 100-meter breaststroke reaching the wall in 1:04.95. Justin Viotto, with a time of 2:06.78, set a new team record in the 200-meter butterfly. 
 
Each of the men's relays were also fast enough to best the previous program records. The 200-meter medley relay consisting of Aidan Hughes, Kevin Hood, Andrew Ferrell and Brian Cantin improved the program best to 1:47.03. Hughes and Cantin were joined by Brannigan and Jack Armstrong in the 200-meter freestyle relay where they set a program record with a 1:36.56 effort.

Next Up
The Friars will travel to New Providence, N.J. for their final regular season meet of the season against Seton Hall and Georgetown. The tri-meet between the Friars, Pirates, and Hoyas is set to take place on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
