PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Former Providence College Track and Field All-Americans Emily Sisson '14 and Ben Connor '15 will be competing in the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar from Sept. 26-Oct. 6. Sisson will represent the United States and Connor will represent Great Britain.
Sisson will be competing in the women's 10,000 meters on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 2:10 p.m. This will be Sisson's second 10,000-meter IAAF World Track and Field Championship appearance after finishing ninth in 2017 (London). While at Providence, Sisson was a two-time NCAA champion in the 5,000 meters where she broke Kim Smith's NCAA Indoor 5,000-meter record (15:12.22). Sisson was also a member of the 2013 NCAA Championship cross country team. The 10-time All-American holds the seventh-fastest United States time for a marathon (2:23.08) which she set in her first ever marathon in London back in April.
Connor is set to compete in the men's 5,000-meter heats on Sept. 27 at 12:55 p.m. The finals for the 5,000 meter will be on Sept. 30 at 2:20 p.m. While at Providence, Connor earned All-America honors in cross country. This will be Connor's first appearance in the IAAF World Track and Field Championships.

Ray Treacy will also have two other runners he coaches, Molly Huddle and Ben True competing. Both will compete for the United States. True will be competing in the 5,000 meters. Huddle will compete alongside her training partner, Sisson, in the 10,000 meters.
