Former Women's Basketball Standout Jovana Nogic '19 Inks Pro Contract

Nogic will embark on her professional career in Spain with Cadi La Seu.
PROVIDENCE, R.I.– It was announced by Eurobasket last week [Aug. 11] that former Providence College women's basketball player Jovana Nogic '19 (Belgrade, Serbia) has signed a professional contract with Cadi La Seu, which plays in Liga Dia (First Spanish League). Last year, Cadi La Seu finished third in Liga Dia and qualified to compete in the upcoming EuroCup.
Nogic is expected to join the team later this month and Cadi La Seu's first game of Liga Dia is scheduled for Sept. 28.
A two-time All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention selection and Ann Meyers Drysdale Award candidate, Nogic finished her career at Providence College ranked fourth all-time in scoring with 1,724 points (125 games). She posted 85 double-digit games during her career, including 26 games with 20-or-more points. She set program records for career three-point field goals (323), single-season three-point field goals (93 in 2018-19), career free-throw percentage (.909, 229-252) and single-season free-throw percentage (.945, 86-91). Nogic also finished her career ranked third all-time in the BIG EAST Conference in three-point field goals during regular-season conference play (167). In 2018-19, Nogic helped guide the Friars to their first post-season appearance since 2010 as part of the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT). Nogic averaged a team-best 19.3 points during the WNIT and added 3.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Nogic also was selected as RIAIAW Distinguished Student-Athlete of the Year for Providence College.
