Men’s Swimming And Diving Wins Harold Anderson Invitational For Second Consecutive Year

Men’s and Women’s swimming and diving combined for three new program records.
Kingston, R.I.– The Providence College men's and women's swimming and diving team traveled to the University of Rhode Island on Friday, Nov. 22 to compete in the Harold Anderson Invitational. The men's team came in first place among the four men's teams at the invitational. This marks the second consecutive year the men have won the event. The women's team placed sixth out of seven teams. The two teams combined for three new program records.
Program Records
-Aidan Hughes set a program record in the 100-yard Backstroke. His time of 50.84 was good enough for first in the event.
-Sally Alrutz bested the school record in the 100-yard backstroke. She was first to the wall in the event (56.31).
-Aidan Hughes improved the Providence College program record in the 200-yard Backstroke (1:50.91).
