PROVIDENCE, R.I.-The Providence College men's and women's cross-country teams will line up for the final time in the 2019 season on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y. for the ECAC/IC4A Championships. The men's 8k race is set for 11:15 a.m. and the women's 5k will be at 12:00 p.m.
For the Friar men, it will be the last meet of their cross-country careers for
Michael O'Leary (St. James, N.Y.),
Peter Rindfuss (Hamburg, N.Y.) and
Marcus Karamanolis (Wellington, New Zealand). O'Leary, Rindfuss and Karamanolis led the pack of Friar men to a first-place team finish at the New England Championships on Oct. 20. O'Leary was the first Friar to cross the line at the New England Championships, finishing in fourth (24:50).
Abbey Wheeler (Elmira, N.Y.),
Lilly Tuck (Sunderland, Canada) and
Maria Coffin (Annapolis, Md.) will lead the pack for the Providence women. All three earned All-BIG EAST Honors after finishing in the top-20 at the BIG EAST Championships on Nov. 2 in Kenosha, Wis. At the NCAA Northeast Regional Meet on Nov. 15, Wheeler finished 15
th(19:55.6) and Tuck finished 23
rd (20:12.7), earning them All-Region Honors.
