CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Providence men's soccer team defeated the Xavier Musketeers, 2-1, in their final road game of the season. Both goals for the Friars were scored in the last 10 minutes of play.

- In the 25
th minute the Friars had a good chance to score off a corner kick.
Danny Griffin (Wethersfield, Conn.) crossed the ball into the box where
Paulo Lima (Lisbon, Portugal) too shot that went off the top goal post.
- The Musketeers scored in the 34
th minute to put them up, 1-0. Samson Sergi beat the Providence defender and scored in the lower right of the net on their first shot of the night.
- In the 81
st minute
Paulo Lima (Lisbon, Portugal) put Providence on the board to tie the game at 1-1.
Gil Santos (Parede, Portugal) took the corner kick that Lima gave a touch to get past the Musketeer keeper.

Ramzi Qawasmy scored his second goal of the season to put the Friars up 2-1 in the 88
th minute.
Joao Serrano (Evora, Portugal) passed the ball up to Qawasmy who scored on a header inside the box.
- Providence outshout Xavier 19-3 and held the advantage in corner kicks, 10-0.
