PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Paulo Lima (Lisbon, Portugal) of the Providence College men's soccer team was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Oct. 28. This is Lima's first time receiving the honors.
Lima recorded five total points this week on 2-0 week for the Friars. The sophomore midfielder tallied an assist and scored the insurance goal in their 2-0 win over Villanova on Wednesday. (Oct. 23) He was assisted by
Joao Serrano (Evora, Portugal). For the Friars annual Pink Out Friartown game, Lima scored the golden goal in overtime to give them a 3-2 win over Creighton. (Oct. 26) He was assisted by
Christopher Roman (Glastonbury, Conn.) and
Davis Smith (Amherst, Mass.).
The Friars are at Xavier University Saturday, Nov. 2 for their final road game of the regular season. The match is set to kick-off at 5:00 P.M. at the XU Soccer Complex in Cincinnati, Ohio.
