Hannah McNulty Named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week

This marks the third time this season McNulty has received the award.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College sophomore Hannah McNulty (Warwick, R.I.) was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season on Monday, Oct. 29.
With the season on the line, McNulty scored two goals in the last 25 minutes to force overtime against Creighton on Oct. 25. Her free kick goal in the 87th minute curled around the wall and snuck in the right side of the net. McNulty ranks third in the BIG EAST in goals with 10 on the season. She recorded six shots in the game with three on net.
Prior to the BIG EAST Tournament on Sunday, Oct. 28, McNulty was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team alongside her teammates Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.) and Kayla Steeves (Needham, Mass.). Katie Day (East Kingston, N.H.) was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team while Hannah Morgan (Berwyn, Pa.) was named to the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team.
The Friars will play in the BIG EAST Semifinal on Thursday night, Nov. 1. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Providence advanced to the semifinal after defeating St. John's, 1-0, in Queens, N.Y. on Sunday, Oct. 28.
