PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College sophomore
Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.) was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time this season on Monday, Oct. 22.
Hogan tallied nine saves on Oct. 18 in the Friars' scoreless draw against DePaul. The shutout marked her career best eighth shutout of the season. Hogan completed her second shutout of the week in the Friars 1-0 win over Seton Hall on Oct. 21. She recorded one save, but brought down multiple crosses from the Seton Hall offense. Hogan holds a 0.62 goals against average and 0.885 save percentage on the season.
The Friars return to the field for their final BIG EAST conference match-up against Creighton on Oct. 25. The match will be played on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium and is scheduled for a 7:00 kick-off.
