SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Providence College volleyball team played the Seton Hall Pirates on Saturday, Sept. 30 in South Orange, N.J. The Friars lost match in straight sets. The scores of the sets were 25-23, 25-23 and 25-14. Providence's record on the season is now 13-6 and 2-2 in the BIG EAST.
Addison Root led the Friars' attack with 11 kills on the night. Jenae Alderson was second on the team with eight kills. Allison Barber set the attack with 21 assists.
Defensively, Chicyia Clark led Providence with 11 digs. McKenzie Lydon, Megan Onyundo and Barber added eight digs as well.

The Friars will open up BIG EAST play with a match against the Villanova Wildcats on Friday, Sept. 22 at 7:00 p.m.
