Women's Soccer Bests Arkansas, 4-3

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's soccer team defeated the University of Arkansas, 4-3, on Sunday, Sept. 10 at Anderson Stadium. The Friars overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Razorbacks, tying the game on two occasions at 2-2 and then 3-3. Providence's final two goals of the afternoon came in a span of 1:51 with less than 10 minutes left in regulation. Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.) collected a career-high 10 saves in the winning effort.

- Arkansas opened the game with two quick goals in the fifth and ninth minutes from Haley Vanfossen (4:35) and Stefani Doyle (8:14).

- Freshman Ann McConnon (Springfield, Pa.) and Hannah McNulty (Warwick, R.I.) combined on the third goal for the Friars to give the team the first lead of the game in the 82^nd minute.

- Christina Klaum (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) netted the winning tally in the 82^nd minute.
