PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

It was announced today (Oct. 30) that Providence College redshirt junior Colin Miller (Bel Air, Md.) earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week.

Miller's honor comes following a 1-0-1 week for the Friars. On Wednesday (Oct. 25) the team earned a 0-0 draw at then-No. 10 Georgetown. Miller made two saves en route to his fourth shutout of the season. The netminder then turned in an eight-save performance on Saturday (Oct. 28) in a 2-1 victory at Villanova. Five of his eight saves came in the second half to help preserve the victory.

Overall, Miller made 10 saves on 11 shots on goal for a save percentage of .909 this past week. With only one goal allowed, his goals against average was 0.45.

This season, Miller has compiled a 5-5-4 record in net. He holds a 1.05 goals against average and a .768 save percentage. He is tied for fourth in goals against average in the BIG EAST.

The Friars conclude regular-season action with a game against St. John's on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 7:00 p.m. The game will serve as Senior Night and will be played on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium.
