Volleyball Onyundo, Dix Earn Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team had two players earn honors this past week. Senior Abigail Dix (Gibsonia, Pa.) was named to the Columbia University All-Tournament team on Sept. 17 and sophomore Megan Onyundo (Woodbridge, Va.) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll.
Dix was named to the All-Tournament team after achieving the second highest blocks per set (1.2) in the four game Columbia University Tournament. Dix recorded 18 blocks over the weekend tournament.
Onyundo also participated in the Columbia University Tournament and lead the Friars in Kills and was
second on the team in digs. Onyundo tallied 48 kills (3.20 kps) and 45 digs (3.00 dps) for Providence. This was the first time that Onyundo has been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll this season.
The Friars return to the court against Bryant on Sept. 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Alumni Gym.
