EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - The Providence College swimming & diving team concluded competition at the BIG EAST Swimming & Diving Championships at the Nassau County Aquatic Center on Saturday, Feb. 27.
In Friday's events, sophomore Katherine Fallon (Warren, N.J.) had the highest finish for the Friars as she took sixth place in the finals of the 200y freestyle (1:51.58).
Sophomore Connor Fabian (LaGrange Park, Ill.) lead the way for the men in Friday evenings evnt, placing eighth in the 100y breaststroke (58.23).
Fallon returned to the pool on Saturday with an eight place finish in the 1650y (17:22.43).
On the men's side, junior Zach Begnaud (Natchitoches, La.) finished ninth in the 1650y freestyle (16:28.67). Freshman Ricky Billig (Sudbury, Mass.) reached the wall in 1:51.86 in the final heat of the 200y backstroke. Fabian earned his second individual top ten finish in the 200y breaststoke (2:05.02).
